Most solar quotes start with a roof and work backwards. We start with your last three municipal bills, work out what you actually need to keep running, and only then look at how many panels fit.
That order matters. A system sized to your roof will always be bigger — and more expensive — than a system sized to your life. Plenty of homes that only want to ride out load-shedding need far less than the first quote they were shown.

Yes, and it is often the sensible order. A hybrid inverter and battery solve load-shedding immediately; panels start reducing the bill. We size and wire the inverter so panels can be added without replacing anything.
A typical residential system is two to three days on site once stock is in. Larger installations or difficult roof access can run to a week. You get the dates in writing with the quote.
If the system can feed back into the grid, most municipalities require registration. We tell you upfront whether your design triggers that, and what the local requirement is for your area.
It can, but it is rarely the cheapest way to solve hot water. A geyser is a large continuous load, and covering it pushes the battery and panel count up sharply. A timer or a heat pump usually costs less overall — we will say so if that applies to you.
