BN Dreamlight Solutions is a Gauteng contractor built around one idea: the person who quotes the job is accountable for the job. No sub-contracting the work to whoever is free that week.
Company introduction
Most property owners need an electrician, a plumber and a solar installer — and end up managing three contractors who blame each other when something goes wrong.
Bongani Nkosi started BN Dreamlight in 2015 with a bakkie, a set of testers and a wireman’s licence. The plumbing side came three years later, after the same clients kept asking who they should call for a geyser. Solar followed when load-shedding turned backup power from a luxury into a requirement.
Today we are a team of fourteen working across Johannesburg, Pretoria, Midrand and Centurion. What has not changed is the structure: one project manager owns your job from the first site visit to the sign-off document, and the technicians on site are our own staff.
We turn down work we are not equipped to do properly. If a job needs a specialist we do not have, we will tell you and point you at someone who does.
What we are here to do
Mission
Make it possible to fix, install and power a property by calling one number — and to walk away with the paperwork that proves it was done correctly.
That means fixed quotes before work starts, our own staff on site, and a Certificate of Compliance on every electrical installation. It also means telling a client when the cheaper repair is the right one, even when the bigger job is available.
Vision
A Gauteng where a homeowner does not have to gamble on whether the contractor at the gate is qualified.
We want registration, certification and honest pricing to be the ordinary standard in the trades rather than a selling point. Every apprentice we train is expected to leave able to sign off their own work.

Electrical
Founder & Master Electrician
Started the company in 2015 and still does the difficult fault-finding himself. Handles every commercial installation from quote to certificate.

Operations
Operations Director
Runs scheduling and quoting. If your quote arrives within two working hours, that is her doing. She is also the person to phone when a date slips.

Plumbing
Lead Plumber
Fifteen years on the tools, most of it in leak detection. Prefers acoustic testing to a chisel, which has saved a lot of clients a lot of tiling.

Sizes every system off the client’s last three municipal bills. Has talked more people out of oversized arrays than into them.
